I was in the market to purchase a new GMC. I tried local GMC dealerships but they did not have the vehicle I wanted nor could they obtain the vehicle matching the colors and options. Did a search on GMC homepage and found the exact SUV I was looking for at Harrys on the Hill. I reached out to the dealership which is over two hours from my house. The dealership was great and my sales associate was the best. They were extremely friendly and helpful in my quest to purchase a new vehicle. The dealership and myself came to a quick agreement on the purchase and trade of my current vehicle. I drove the two plus hours the next business day to the dealership who had the new SUV all prepped and waiting for my arrival. The transaction was very quick and extremely easy. The dealership sales associates were fantastic in everyway. They gave me a quick tutorial of the new SUV before I left. I would highly recommend the dealership and their sales staff to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

I appreciate that Harry’s on the Hill, specifically my salesperson Guillermowere, could start the deal, answer questions, take specific pictures, and work with us by phone/text before we drove the 70 miles to the dealership. I could test drive multiple trim and engine configurations, and when I was ready, the buying experience was “painless.” The follow-up communication was outstanding, and when I failed to transfer everything from the glovebox, they offered to mail it to me. I wanted a front license bracket, and they found one and installed it for no extra charge. Customer service and integrity are not just words. They follow up with action. I hope to never buy another vehicle, but if I do, Harry”s on the Hill will be my first stop.

I had the absolute best experience at Harry's on the Hill. I was traveling through Asheville with my 3 children and my car started to make loud noises coming from the under the hood of the car. I literally drove up with no appointment to the dealer and met with Carl desperate for help. Carl assured me that he would get this handled in the fastest way he could. I did have to leave it over night but Carl had my car diagnosed within the hour and returned to me to get back on the road before lunch the next day. Carl and the entire team at Harry's went above and beyond and I am very appreciative of their assistance as a mom with three kids traveling on spring break. If I were local you'd have all of my business.

Greeted by employee when I arrived, told me a service representative would be right with me (apparently they were all busy) so go wait in the customer lounge. After quite a while, well over an hour, I went looking for someone to talk to me. Found one representative eating lunch, no one else was around. I explained why I was there ( I actually had an appointment-I was early) rep quickly took the keys from the ignition and asked why I was there. I tried to explain my vehicle’s ills , the vehicle was whisked off and I was told to wait. Much later rep said technician couldn’t duplicate error message on inboard computer due to their machine was not working properly. Waited some more. Finally, rep came back and said tech can’t duplicate problem. I explained again that it only happens on cold starts. So I called home for a ride since they need to keep it overnight. Wife picked me up at about 5 pm, I had got there at about 10:30am. Next day got a call: problem duplicated. Because it was misfiring on cylinder #1, it needs all new (8) injectors and plugs, too. I guess you just can’t fix what’s broken or defective without replacing all its siblings. $3,229.01 and 3 days later, I finally get my truck back.

Scheduled routine oil change / tire rotation on a Saturday morning. In and out in a half hour - better than I've had at other dealers. On the down side, I have an intermittent problem with the digital spreedometer going blank - happens maybe once or twice a month. I suspect it is software but service techs for such a problem were not available on Saturdays. Still need to resolve this.

I brought my 2016 Chevrolet 1500 truck in for service. I have used Harry's On the Hill dealership since I moved to Western North Carolina. as they were recommended by the dealership from where I used to live. I was there most of the day due to amount of work I had planned which was not unexpected. I had scheduled the work I needed done well in advance and all required materials were on site. I was kept informed of the work processes throughout the day and informed of an additional item that needed to be addressed (which was approved by me and completed). The waiting area is always clean, organized, and comfortable. In all of the numerous times I have used Harry's on the Hill for service, I cannot think of a single time that I have been dissatisfied with them. My truck was damaged during service. I appreciate the service manager’s apology, but the damage while on the lift is concerning and has destroyed my faith in your dealership. While I do not seem to have a choice, I am very concerned about whether the repairs will be done well in the in-house body shop. My truck will now always have damage that I must live with. This has been a terrible experience. I am trying to accept and forgive, but I am finding that very difficult.

My new GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is not functioning properly. The radio/media and other sounds (turn signal) randomly goes silent. The problem continues for hours or a day before returning to normal. On my June 24, 2025 service visit the mechanic was unable to repair. I was told that GMC is aware of the problem and is working on a fix. No time estimate. Other owners of this model are having the same issue. It’s frustrating to buy a new vehicle without an immediate repair solution.

Went in because air conditioner was not blowing through vents. The part only cost 86.00 or so but the labor was over 600.00. I felt that was a ridiculous amount to charge for labor. I had the car there at 7:00 - the part had to be delivered so don't actually know what time they started working on the car but by 10:00 they were finished. If it was hard to get to - it still only took a couple of hours to fix. The guy that waited on me in the service department was very nice and helpful so my only complaint is the amount charged for labor. I will have to look elsewhere for repair help in the future.

I live 2 hours away from the dealership and only came here for this service because it was “free” because my vehicle was purchased at the used lot on site. I will NOT be returning for my second “free oil change” since it took nearly 3 HOURS to complete. The waiting area is not comfortable, especially to wait for that long.

An engine recall is significant. I was herded in and out like I didn’t matter. Clearly there was no inspection done on the engine since no dust was removed from the cover. (I checked). GM is better than this and customers shouldn’t be treated like they are easily replaced. When your service agent won’t get off a fake phone call to discuss what was done is a clear sign of quality service. The techs did a great job balancing the tires if that matters.

D3alership gets highes5 marks but GM service pol8cy is a failure. This is second time my climate control has failed with an intermittent problem. The failure codecl3ared itself overnight. So the faulty component could not be replaced under warranty. I had to drive 8 hours with the windows down in 95 degree heat because the fan did not blow cold air out. This is the second time this has happened. This is my 3rd encore. I traded in the first one because the seat belt retractor failed. I waited over 5 months for a simple part that never came. It was dangerous to drive a car without a seatbelt and I could hav3 been fined for not using a seatbelt, so I traded in the car. The new car had very major problem. The AWD would disengage frequently and I was unable to drive the car to my house. I have a sttep mile long gravel driveway and need AWD. Since i am disabled there were time i could not get to my house. GM could never fix the problem so i traded that car in for wat apoears to be the ladt GM lemon i will ever buy. GM Seems to provide features that only work when you don't need them. It's back to Subaru foe me. I have owned two in the past. Each with over 150,000 miles on them. No failures just standard maintenance and replacement of parts from normal use. Very unsatisfied with General Motors. .

This will be the fourth time I visited Harry’s On The Hill to have work done on my vehicle. The first three times were great. Work was performed in a timely manner and most especially the pricing was reasonable. On this the fourth visit, one of the first questions ask when I arrived was if I had been told there was a $174 diagnostic fee when I made my appointment. The answer is no. Most likely I would have gone elsewhere if I had known. In retrospect, I should have left when I was told of the diagnostic charge. Secondly I was told I would be made aware of all charges before any work was done. As part of the diagnostic process, it was determined I needed two new batteries at $222 each. It was only at the time of checkout i learned there was a $50 per battery charge for installation. Lastly, on checkout, the invoice showed a $50 miscellaneous fee which was never mentioned. When questioned it was said this covers shop rags, paper towels, etc. Fortunately it was removed when I questioned it. Long story short to me Harry’s On The Hill has gone from a reasonably priced repair place to a stereotypical dealership where pricing is high, and there are other gotcha charges. Most likely I will not return.

Truck transmission had a fluid flush and is performing worse than when I came in…. I do have a hard shift issue but that issue is worse. The quote to replace the transmission is astronomical. The fact there is no other solution and the fact it’s had a hard shift forever and that it’s known there transmissions have a defect and were not recalled is upsetting.

I am so thankful that I have a dealership as wonderful as Harry's on the Hill! At this appointment I had to have a lot of maintenance at the 60K mile level on my Yukon and Carl walked me through the reasons and the costs with patience and diligence. In the end he was able to reduce some of the costs because I had less wear than normal and did not need to replace some parts. I never worry about Harry's pushing me to buy things I do not need. Then I was planning on paying the bill with some of my "REWARD POINTS" and when Donna looked them up my account I had a lot less points than I was sure I had. Donna went out of her way to search for my points. She could not find them but promised to keep researching to see if I had more more points. She could have just forgot about it figuring I just did not know how many points I really had, but she kept her word and called me and told me that she had found my missing points and adjusted my bill. Everything worked out well. I had to reschedule my initial appointment and that was easy. Got a call the day before to confirm. I didn't expect it to take 2 hours to change the oil, rotate the tires, and perform the inspection. Jiffy Lube could do that in under 30 mins. That caught me off guard and I had to reschedule work meetings accordingly. (I realize that a software update had to be performed, as well, but that could be done in the background.) I wish the app/online experience was better synced with the dealership, but I've learned that it's best to go old-school with Harry's and call to schedule service or anything else for that matter.

I bought a 2024 Denali 2500. 29k miles and owned approx a month and something broke in the transmission. Towed in on Tuesday 11/4/25 and was told that once the diagnostics were ran, I would get a loner vehicle. Called on Friday 11/7 and was bluntly told that when the diagnostics were performed, my advisor would call me. I waited another week and called back on Fri 11/14 and my advisor said that the technician was off and it would be Monday. Asked about a loner vehicle but still no diagnostics and no technician to ask. Was told that they would call me on Monday and no call. I called Tuesday 11/17 to be told the parts were ordered. Asked about a loner vehicle again and was told they were out. I received my truck on 11/21 after 18 days of no communication and relying on family to take and pick me up from work.
